METHODIST CHURCH. (From Oiu- Own Corresnondent.) APITI, Jan. 26. A meeting of the ladies of the (Methodist Guild was held yesterday afternoon in the vestry. There wore present Mesdames Purnell, L. Guy, Digby, W. _ R. Pratt, Misses M. Purnell and G. Dighv. It was derided to hold a social afternoon in the hall about March, instead of the usual garden party. Little business could be done, owing to the absence of the president, Mrs Coombridge. who is away on holiday, also eserveral of the guild members. PERSONAL. Mr H. Digby has returned from a holiday in Auckland. Mrs Norris, of Nelson, is the guest of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr and Mrs McMillan, till the end of the week. Mrs McMillan will travel with her sister as far as Wellington. Mr A. Hall, of Lowry Bay, Wellington, is visiting his niece, Mrs John Jensen. Mr Hancock, of Lower Hutt, a cousin of Mrs Jensen, returned home at the week-end. It is hoped to hold the next meeting of the Women’s Institute in the beautiful grounds of Mr and Mrs N. C. Jensen’s home at Valley Road.
