ROAD VEHICLES.

FIGURES FOR BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Jan. 2-1. The road vehicle census for the last quarter of 1937 shows that about onethird of the vehicles in use are five years old or over. These figures are taken on representative samples from four typical areas. The number of private cars licensed totalled 1,798,105, compared with 1,642,850 for the last quarter of 1936. The most notable increase was in light ears of the 10 horse-power class. New registrations for the whole year numbered 486,269, an increase of 36,930 over 1936.
