SPANISH EXECUTIONS.
150 PERSONS KILLED. SANTONA PENINSULA VICTIMS. LONDON, Jan. 18. A rebel newspaper, published at Bilbao, gives the names of 150 persons, including three women, who were executed "in fulfilment of sentences passed by tribunals." Twenty-six were garrotted and 124 shot. Spanish Government sources report that these mostly belonged to a.group of 2500 persons cut off on the Santona Peninsula. They surrendered on condition that the followers of General Franco would not make reprisals against civilians, that soldiers would be considered prisoners of war, and that political leaders, Basque army officers, and Government officials would be permitted to leave Santona in English ships. It is asserted that 10,000 are imprisoned in Bilbao. The gaol at Santona, which normally holds 400, has 3200 prisoners,.
