REPERCUSSIONS PROBABLE.
CONSUL TO PROTEST. Received January 25, 12.10 a.m. CANBERRA, Jan. 25. International repercussions inay follow Mr Hughes’s speech. It is understood that Dr Asmis will make an official complaint during the next few davs to the Federal Government on behalf of the German Government. Mr Hughes said he did not think that there was anything in his speech to which the German Government could fairly object.
