TOURIST SEASON.

BEST EVER EXPERIENCED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Jan. 24. “The present tourist season is the best that has ever been experiened in New Zealand, and all previous records have been broken,” said the Minister in charge of the Tourist Department (Hon. F. Langstone) this evening. The Minister said that there had not only been a record number of overseas visitors, but New Zealanders, too, had travelled in large numbers to various resorts from all parts of the Dominion. This was a most encouraging sign and in line with the Government’s policy of making holiday resorts available for the people of New Zealand.

Pleading guilty yesterday to three slvgrog charges at Gore in December, Matthew Glucina, a fish merchant, was fined a total of £22 10s, with costs 30s. —Press Association.
