Saturday afternoon (Anniversary Day) P. Packer, the Feilding sprinter, won the 100yds open and was third in the 220yds race. Harold Cocker, riding off scratch, was third in the twomile cycle race, and at Cook’s Gardens, Wanganui, at night, he won the one mile open cycle event.
