SYDNEY WOOL SALES.
AVERAGE TO GOOD CHEAPER. SYDNEY, Jan. 24. The wool sales were resumed today. The market for average to good wools was from 5 to 7) per cent, below the dosing rates of the- previous Sydney auctions. - Faulty descriptions met a very restricted demand and showed a decline of 10 per cent. Competition was mainly from Yorkshire and the Continent. Greasy Merino made 23? d. Offerings totalled 10,710 hales, of which 8100 were sold; also 895 bales were sold privately.
