Uncensored leports from Rome describe feverish activity in military centres for a big offensive which Signor Mussolini hopes will end the Spanish war.
Large forces of infantry, artillery and tanks are concentrating on Palermo and Messina for embarkation in the middle of February, wdien 182,000 tons of shipping, including German liners, will be ready to transport them to General Franco. Twenty German staff officers have arrived in Italy, it is believed for the purpose of reorganising the counterespionage system of the Italy Army.
