POOR RESPONSE TO APPEALS. Received January 24, 12.40 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 23. Hie poor response of only £570 from Barns Clubs throughout the world towards the restoration of the Burns Mausoleum at Dumfries at a cost oi £2500 has compelled the Dumfries Burns Club to pawn a priceless 178 b Kilmarnock edition of »Burns s vvoik. Club officials sav that Scotsmen throughout the world will reflect on the ehame of their plight.
