Combined Services had first rise of the wicket against Massey College in the junior A section for a total of 164 (Wills 45, Hancock 51, Morgan 16, Woodley 17; Kelly 4 for 45. F.lley 3 for 38, Waters 1 for 22, Campbell 1 for 26). The College innings produced 149 runs (Dunlop 10, Campbell 26, Kelly 83; Wills 3 for 45. Blummont 4 for 20). OLD BOYS V OPTIMISTS. Playing with nine men, Old Boys made 91 in their match with Optimists (Harvey 14, McCormick 22. McLachlan 15, Clifford 15, Dickson 12; Rice 4 for 39, Zaloum 4 for 48). Optimists fared better .with the bat to realise 166 (Cockburn 11, J. D. O’Connell 44, Zaloum 18, Phillips 18, Rice 29; Harvey 3 for 17, Clifford 3 J P X H no pamqua sTog[ pjQ '(9B - tO J second innings and at the close of the day’s play had two wickets down for 42 runs (McLachlan 26 not out).
