FEILDING AERO CLUB.
CEREMONY POSTPONED. Owing to the fact that the Minister of Defence (Hon. F. Jones) is unable to attend and officially open the Taonui aerodrome on Saturday, January 29, as previously arranged", and also that there has been some delay in the delivery of the three new and modern aeroplanes on order by the Middle Districts Aero Club, the committee of the Feilding Aero Club are of the opinion that the opening should be postponed till a later date. The three new machines are a Porterfield two-seater cabin machine, with a cruising speed of 105 miles per hour and an excellent allround performance, and two De Havilland Tiger Moths, which type is one of the standard trainers adopted by the Royal Air Force. It is felt that by the postponement of the public opening till a date when these machines will be present the public of the district will not be deprived of a unique opportunity to inspect these machines and see their performance.
