HOROWHENUA SHOW.
The Horowhenua A. and P. Show, to be held on January 28 and 29, promises to eclipse all previous efforts. The night show, which proved so popular last year, will again be a feature in the attractions. Really outstanding entries are expected in all sections. Messrs A. M. Colquhoun. H. J. Lancaster and R. A. MacDonald have been appointed as a protest committee, and the following as chief stewards: All cattle, Mr R. V. Brown ; horses and competitions, Mr S. B. Mexted; Jerseys, Mr I. D. Parsons; dairy cattle, Mr J. Lyons; Ayrshires, Mr A. M. Atkins; Friesians, Mr J. J. Hereook; Shorthorns and Red Polls, Mr A. Bryant ; sheep, Mr G. F. Kilsby; home industries, Mr R. A. MacDonald ; -Highland dancing, Mr N. W. Ryder; pigs, Mr S. A. Broadbelt; sheepguessing competition, Mr J. H. Mungavin; parking arrangements, Mr J. A. Porter; gates, Mr E. S. Crisp; ring marshal, Mr J. Kilsby; trucking steward, Mr A. S. MacFarlane; side-show stewards, Messrs A. Shaw and A. M. Colquhoun; paddocking stewards, Messrs R. A. MacDonald and C. Bartholomew.
