CARNARVON.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) CARNARVON, Jan. 20. .Mr and Mrs T. E. McKenzie, of Akaroa, paid a brief visit to Mr and Mrs G. R. McKenzie recently. Miss Thomson, of Palmerston North, was a holiday visitor to Mrs Thomson. Mr and Mrs R. McKelvie and family are expected to return from Taupo on Friday. Misses Scott and MeKelvie’s friends will be pleased to learn of their steady progress towards recovery. Mrs C. McKenzie is visiting Wellington and Paraparaumu before returning home. The. house in course of erection for Mr Vile is nearing completion and the residents of the district are looking forward to welcoming new settlers shortly. Miss Maxwell’s friends are pleased to learn that she was successful in the recent nursing examinations, especially as she was handicapped by illness •
