In connection with the University entrance examination, the New Zealand University announces that, in view of the broken school year, due to the infantile paralysis epidemic, the University decided that some relief should be given to candidates concerned. The committee' dealing with this question agreed that additional marks should be awarded to candidates from the schools concerned, the additional marks . varying with the length of the period during which the schools were closed.'
“As a further relief the committee also agreed to relax somewhat the conditions that have previously obtained in regard to the cases given special consideration by the committee. The committee feels that these methods have removed as far as possible any ‘hardship arising from the exceptional conditions of the school year.” AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE. DEGREE EXAMINATIONS.
