RECORD OF SUCCESS.
AIR DISPLAYS AT HENDON. (British Official Wireless.) Received January 22, 10.45 a.m. IiUGBY, Jan. 21. The Air Force displays at Hendon, the discontinuance or which has been announced, had an extraordinary record of success—only one arman met his death during the eighteen years since their inception, and no spectator had ever been seriously hurt. The Air Force charities, which benefited annually by many thousands of pounds from the display, are unlikely to suffer as they will receive contributions from the Empire Air Day displays. The Empire Air Day attendance throughout England in 1937 totalled 345,000.
