The nude body of a man, a Canadian, was found supported by a lifepreserver in the water near the ship, and his companion, who was arrested on the pier, revealed that he and the dead man planned to blow up the vessel with a time bomb attached to the hull, The prisoner gave his name as George Partridge, of Vancouver, British Columbia. He said the bomb failed to explode. The dead man was. Ralph Forsythe, a graduate and ex-instructor of the University of British Columbia. Meanwhile Partridge’s brother was arrested in Vancouver.
