FEUDING STOCK SALE.

HEAVY INFLUX OF STORE ' LAMBS. EXCELLENT QUALITY. A very heavy entry of store lambs was penned for the weekly sale at Feilding to-day, the quality in many cases being excellent- No doubt owing to the continued dry weather the entries were well above the advertised numbers. Several pens of specially advertised ewes were penned, and the quality of these sheep was particularly good. It was anticipated that by the time the auction commenced there would be a yarding of well over 11,000 store and fat sheep. ■ . A fair entry ol young sheep, with a small entry of fat ewes, comprised the fat sheep offering. A substantial improvement m the quality of the store lambs compared with those seen at last week’s sale was shown. The entry of cattle was not a large one; in all'the yarding aggregated 100 head. ... . . Fat sheep failed to maintain __ last week’s level, and prices depreciated, fully 3s a head. The market for store sheep was “in-and-out,” and it was •principally the better quality sheep that commanded attention.
