BUTTER AND CHEESE.
BRITAIN’S IMPORTS FOR 1937.
According to the latest returns received by the Dairy Board and supplied by arrangement with the Primary Products Marketing Department, imports of butter into Great Britain from all sources during 1937 totalled 470,396 tons, compared with 489,114 tons in 1936, a decrease- of 18,718 boxes. Supplies from Empire source* decreased hy 11.503 tons, while supplies from foreign countries were lower by 7215 tons. New Zealand was again the principal supplier with 147,549 tons, with' Denmark next with 112,056 tons. Details of the imports of butter into Great Britain for the last three years are
