BOROUGH RATES.
The position in regard to the payments of rates in the borough to date was sta.ted by the town clerk (Mr C. H. Tate) to-day to be as follows:—Rates struck, 1937-38, £16,725; paid, £7711; balance outstanding, £9014. Arrears outstanding, £1162; paid, £479; balance unpaid, £683.
