PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF LOAN. Notice is hereby given that the Kairanga County Council proposes at its meeting to be held on Tuesday, the Bth day of February, 1938, to consider a motion to apply to tho Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of tho sum of Four Thousand Pounds (£4000) for the purpose of providing its proportion of the co6t of Bridging, Metalling, Priming and Sealing of that portion of the Palmerston NorthLevin via Shannon Main Highway (No. 60) from the Fitzherbert Bridge to the County boundary at Tokomaru. That the said sum of £4OOO is to be secured by a Special Rate of Thirtyfive One Thousandths '35-1000ths) of a penny in the Pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the Unimproved Value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Kairanga County for the purpose of providing the annual payment of interest, sinking fund and other charges thereon. .... , Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same 'n writing to the Kairanga County Council not later than the day preceding such meeting.
