BEWILDERMENT AND MISTRUST. PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 17. The running battle between President Roosevelt and important business interests was faken up by Mr Thomas' Lamont, banker, ostensibly speaking for the J. P. Morgan interests, ill making a university address. “I cannot but believe that a good part of the current business recession arises from bewilderment and loss of confidence among our citizens owing to the general attitude of mistrust toward business which, during the past five years, lias been cultivated in this country.” he said. “Would it not be nearer the mark to say not that capital is on strike, but that it has been locked out?”
