PANTRY AFTERNOON.

I On Saturday, at her home in Grey j Street, Miss Edna Stewart was tender- . ed a most enjoyable pantry afternoon, when Miss June Green, assisted by Miss Valmai Stewart, entertained a nufnber of guests. A smart frock of brown faconne crepe, relieved with gold stitching and buttons, was chosen by the guest of honour, while Mi6s Green wore navy and white floral crepe silk, and Miss Valmai Stewart a frock of green floral crepe de nil. The time was spent in competitions, games and musical items, the drawingroom being decorated in shades of pink for the occasion. After afternoon tea had been served, Miss Stewart was asked to open the large array of parcels brought by her friends, which she suitably acknowledged.
