VALEDICTORY.

Members of St. Brigid’s Tennis Club assembled on Saturday afternoon to bid farewell to Mr and Mrs Lester Hall, two popular members of the club, who have left the district to reside at Raetihi, where Mr Hall has accepted an appointment with a motor firm. Mr P. S. De Chanty, president of the club, conveyed the members’ best wishes for the future success of Mr and Mrs Hall, and asked them to accept a handsome crystal service as a token of esteem. Musical honours were accorded the recipients, who returned thanks to the president for his kind remarks and to members for the gift.
