IMPOSTURE’S LAST RACE. (By “Spectator.”) Imposture has run her last race, ond is to bo retired to the stud at Koatanui. The Posterity filly has been disappointing on the track round tho Manawatu circuit, but on breeding and conformation she should make an ideal brood mare Australia in Autumn. Courtcraft .is almost certain to do his racing in Australia, as there are few suitable races for him in New Zealand now. Two in Form. Rod Cat and Ilias arc both hitting out well ;at Fordell, and their track form suggests that they, will be hard to beat in their engagements at Ashhurst next Saturday. Rehearsal to Resume.

Rehearsal, who has been spelling at Koatanui for a few weeks, will bo brought in after the Trentham meeting. This promising son of Limond —Miss Thespian has shaken off his cold, and will be got ready for late autumn racing. Maiden For Takapuna.

Inquisitor is a Takanini novice who is shaping more encouragingly, and the Lysandcr gelding is expected to race in the maiden events at the Takapuna meeting. Last autumn Inquisitor showed up in similar company at Pukekohe, but since then has not done much racing.

Has Shown Speed. Rod Ledger was regarded as very promising when trained at -Ellerslie last season, and as his track efforts at Takinini have been productive of good speed, there seems to bo every possibility of his living up to his reputation. Red Ledger, who is engaged at the Thames meeting, is a throe-year-old, being by Racoful —Abbess. Two Good Efforts.

Ivy Wilonyx was responsible for two good efforts in finishing second in both maiden events at the last Takapuna mooting, especially as she came from a long way back on each occasion, form that indicated that she may be suited by a longer distance. Her appearances in mile hack events should create interest, and at her best would bo a possibility in these events at the Thames meeting.
