JAPANESE ALLEGATIONS.

The recall of the Ambassador to China (Mr Kawagoe) is confirmed. Mr Hsu Shih-ying, the Chinese Ambassador here, will leave for Shanghai on January 20. Cabinet has decided to recognise the Peking Provisional Government directly it becomes strong and stable. The newspaper Asahi Shimbun alleges that the Customs and other authoritative figures show that between December 25 and January 15 the Chinese war supplies through Hong Kong were 54 aeroplanes, 4500 tons or explosives, 1450 tons of barbed wire, 3500 tons of railway materials, 2oUU tons of rifles and machine-guns. Italy was the largest supplier; then c ? m ® Britain, Germany and tne Umtea States.
