Received January 18, 11.40 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 17. The price of gold per fine ounce is £6 19s B*d- , The dollar exchange'rate (New YorkLondon) is 4.99 i and the franc rate (Paris-London) 151. Owing to the French situation there has been no great activity .on the Stock Exchange, but goldmine issues have been firmer.
