EVENING MEETING. The ICia Toa Athletic Club and the Cycling Club held their usual weekly meeting last night. All the races were well contested. Results : One lap cycle.—Allen (10) 1, Rasmussen (25) 2, Essex (15) and Aislabie (25) dead heat 3; time, 45sec. Ladies’ 100 yards—Miss A. Wilson (6) 1, Miss P. Chalk (7) 2, Mrs V. Rollerson (scr.) 3; time, 11 3-ssec. One mile cycle.—Rasmussen (100) 1, Aislabie (100) 2, Donovan (180) 3; time, 2min. 18sec. Men’s 100 yards.—Kilmister (14) 1, Fisher (10) 2, Teraperton (11) 3; time, 10 3-ssec. Ladies’ 75 yards.—Mrs V. Rollerson (scr.) 1, Miss P. Chilk (5) 2,2 Miss A. Wilson (5) 3; time, 8 2-ssec. Three mile cycle.—Allen (90) 2. Rasmussen (140) 3; time, inun- 34 sec. Men’s 440 vards.—Parrott (48) 1, Me Vicar (28) ‘2, Temperton (48) 3; time, 50 2-ssec. The relay race of 410 yards was contested by three teams (two men s and a ladies’) and resulted in a win for the ladies by a narrow margin, Mrs Rollerson putting in a great finish to stall off a strong challenge from the second team, The teams were as follow:—Ladies: Airs Rollerson. Miss P. Chalk. Miss P. Wilson, Miss A. Wilson (who received 30 yards start) 1. Men; Temperton. Fairburn. Fislier, McVicar (scr.) 2: time, 52 see. COMPETITORS AT WOODVILLE.

Several members of the Kia Toa Athletic Club journeyed to Woodville on Saturday to participate in the open meeting held by the Woodville Club. H. Temperton won the 220 yards junior handicap; G. Simpson finished third in the 100 yards open race, and J. Miller secured second place in the 440 yards and third in the half-mile handicap. IC. Galloway also won the high jump. In-the ladies’ race, Mrs Rollerson won both the 75 yards and 100 yards; Miss P. Wilson second in the 100 yards; Miss P. Chalk second in the 75 yards; while Miss H. Wilson finished third in both the 75 yards and 100 yards. Mrs Rollerson was in great form during the Christmas holidays. On New Year’s Day, at Taihape, she won both the 75 yards handicap and 100 yards’ handicap from scratch, and at Wanganui in the evening she repeated this performance. In addition she was a member of the winning relay team at Taihape.
