DOMINION TOURNAMENT. MEETING OF COUNCIL. Per Press Council. WANGANUI, Jan. 17. Competitors from all over New Zealand are in "Wanganui for the Dominion croquet tournament, opening to-morrow. There are over 300 entries and a feature is the increase in the number of competitors in the men’s championship. Fifteen will try conclusions in this event, while a number of male players will compete in events other than championships. At a meeting of the Dominion Croquet Council to-day the following officers were elected for the ensuing year; —President, Mr R. W. McCreath (Gore); vice-presidents, Mrs M. Gill (Auckland) and Captain F. Hartnell (New Plymouth); New Zealand- handicapper. Mrs G. B. Bartlett (South Auckland); New Zealand referee, M A. G. F. Ross (Christchurch); hon. secretary-treasurer, Mrs W. S. Austin (Wellington)'; assistanthon. secretary, Mrs W. E. Caldow (Wellington).
