WEDDING.

JENKINS—AIOUAT. On December 18, at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, AVellington, the wedding took place of Laura Margaret, only daughter of Air and Mrs A. L. Alouat, o2 Knowles Street, Palmerston North, and George William, only son of Al> and Mrs Robert Jenkins, 14 Russell Street, Gisborne. The ceremonv was performed by Rev. Brian Kilroy, and Air Thomas was at the organ. The church was beautifully decorated with pink and white hydrangea and sweet peas. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a lovelv frock of pink magnolia, brocaded satin, with train. She carried a sheaf of Regal lilies and her veil, which was worn over the face, was of. deep magnolia tulle, kindly lent, by a friend. There were two bridesmaids, Aliss “Bobbie” Brooker, Palmerston North, and Aliss Betty Jenkins. Gisborne. They were gowned alike in green satin benute, with silk net redingotes and Juliet caps of the same material, with a gold posy. They carried bouquets of gold and apricot shot roses and maidenhair fern.

The best man was AD W. J. Jennings. Palmerston North, and Air J. A. AVilliams, Gisborne, was groomsman.

The bride’s mother wore a navy blue and silver frock, with navy picture hat trimmed with amethyst flowers, and carried a posy to tone. The bridegroom’s mother wore a black model frock with gold lace hat trimmed with gold flowers and cire ribbon, with posy to tone. The reception was held in St. Andrew’s Hall, The Terrace, when fifty guests were present. Rev. Air Kilrov was toastmaster.

The bride’s travelling dress was a navy and white ensemble, with navy accessories. The presents were numerous and costly, including several cheques. The three-tier wedding cake was made by the bride’s mother, and the bouquets and posies, also the flowers used for the decorations, were given by Airs J. Galland.
