LAWN TENNIS.

MANAWATU ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Manawatu Lawn Tennis Association was held last evening, Mr J. T. McDonald presiding. The action of the chairman and secretary in accepting February 26 for the Christie Cup match against Hawke’s Bay was approved. The Christie Cup match against Taranaki takes place on February 12. Arrangements were completed for the exhibition matches to be played to-morrow h.y the Davis Cup players, A. C. Stedman and D. C. Coombe. Messrs R. Chisholm and D. Boddy are to play in the men’s doubles, 'while in the mixed doubles Mesdames Adams and McNair Thompson, of Levin, are to he the players.

It was decided to forward a letter of thanks to the Palmerston North club for the use of tlieir courts for the open tourney. Details were finalised in connection with the local tourney to he played on Saturday.
