DISORDER IN CHEFOO.

POLICE LOOT SHOPS. Received January 17, 10 a.in. SHANGHAI, Jan. 16. Following a report from the American Consul that disorder had broken out at Chefoo alter the departure of the Chinese troops, the American cruiser Marblehead has been ordered there from Tsingtao. It is reported that 100. of the Chinese so-called special police are looting Chinese shops and firing their pistols in the air. The foreign community of Chefoo includes 200 Britons and 82 Americans.
