LATE MR C. LOUISSON.
TRIBOTES PAID. At the monthly meeting of the Palmerston North Hospital Board, today, a motion of sympathy with the widow oi* family of the late Mr C. Louisson was passed in silence. The chairman (Mr J. A. Nash) said not a great many people knew of the many charitable acts done by the late gentleman. He had assisted many people and when approached had been one of the first to come forward with personal assistance or a contribution to help those in distress. His . passing had been a great loss to the city, ami his widow and family would have the sympathy of all members of the hoard. Mr A. E. Mansford (Mayor), supported Air Nash in all that had been said and stated that Air Lpuisson and the other members of the organisation would he particularly remembered for tliq assistance given at the time of the earthquake at Napier. Every appeal the speaker knew of which had been made in the city had seen Air Louisson come forward to help. He was a citizen tlie city could ill afford to lose. The Alanawatu Trotting Club’s committee, at a meeting on Saturday evening, passed a resolution expressing its deep condolence with the family of the late Afr C. Louisson. Warm tributes were paid to Air Louisson s splendid personal qualities, his contribution to sport, and the fine spirn of co-operation he had created between the Alanawatu Racing Club (of which he was president) and the Alanawatu Trotting Club).
