LONDON WOOL SALES.
PROSPECTS UNFAVOURABLE. LONDON, Jan. 15. There does not seem to be much enthusiasm in Bradford over the prospects of the first London wool sales of the year. AH are agreed that some of the best wools of the season will be offered, but few are willing to forecast probable prices and do not anticipate anything like a keen demand. Users of tops are giving top-makers little encouragement to buy wool at present; moreover, considerable supplies are arriving and it is difficult to visualise any active G’ontinental demand.
