MUNICIPAL BAND.

Mr J. L. Fleetwood, conductor of the Feilding Municipal Band, stated this morning that the new instruments have been tried out and are giving complete satisfaction. Tuning adjustments have, of course, had to be made, but the members of the band are loud in their praise of the splendid tone and quality of the instillments.

Mr Fleetwood intimated that good progress is being made by the band with the music for the forthcoming hand contest, and he is confident that the band will put up a good performance.
