CRICKET.
RETURNED SOLDIERS AT PLAY. A cricket match between a team from the Returned Soldiers’ Association and a team from Terrace End took place at the Sportsground yesterday and resulted in a draw. R.S.A. made 128 in their first innings and 211 for seven wickets (declared) in the second. Terrace End knocked up 174, and in their second strike had 77 on the board for nine wickets at stumps. G. Wheatley (52 retired) was top scorer for R.S.A., while L. Cockery (44) was the best batsman for Terrace End.
