(From Our Own Correspondent.) KOPANE, Jan. 13. Owing to a large number of players l>cing away on vacation, both the inter-club tennis matches for last Saturday with Rangiotu and Taikoroa were postponed. This Saturday tho loccl teams are drawn to meet Sandon. The holiday season has greatly retarded tho play in the singles championships, the handicap singles and the combined handicaps, hut it is expected that they will be completed shortly. ... Airs R. Glasgow has as her guest Aliss Mavis Dunstan, of Palmerston North. Air R. Glasgow, of Wellington, has been visiting his parents. Air H. Glasgow has also boon spending his annual holidays with his parents. Mrs A. Prentice and her two daughters arid Airs T. Dyer, with her son and daughter, are camping at Foxton Beach. Aliss P. Jones and Aliss N. Beattie have returned home after spending a very enjoyable fortnight camping with the Rongotea Guide Company in Nelson. Air N. Blake, of Christchurch, has been staying at Kopanc with Airs A. Witton. Air and Airs L. Lancaster and family aro at present oil holiday. Miss E. Boddv has returned homo after spending a holiday at Titahi Bay, Wellington. Aliss D. Boddy is at present staying at Titahi Bay. Aliss Yvonne Youngson, who has been convalescing after her return from hospital, has boon making good progress and expects' to liavp full use of her injured leg again shortly. ■' The friends of Airs L. Boody will, re- ■ grot to learn that her mother, Airs Gould, of Fcilding, is at present ill in hospital.
