PARENTS' EVENING AT TAKARO. The Gt'i Palmerstoh North (Takaro; Company's annual parents' eve nine was most eiiiovnble. Items by the Guides and general activities helped to pass a pleasant time. Rev. Packer, and Spear. The iudging.of natrnl corners was carried out by Mrs Eeddy, Brown Owl of Hokowhitu Brownie Pack Out of six patrols, Cornflowers,
whose nature notes were unirme, came first, second place going to Primroses. ■Ceremonial was the most important part of the evening for the Guides, and loan Heath, -.Tune Rarkwith and Pat Butler were einolk-d as Guides. Second-class badges were won by Elizabeth Merton, Venice Tleniming-en. Norma Carr and Bernice Packer. Two new leaders, Bottv Spear and Gladys Reeves, were invested and Lorraine Andrews, Audrey. Thorburn, Norma Packer and Tliyrza Wallace were invented as patrol seconds. Proficiency badges were presented as follow: Cooks: Lorraine Andrews Tliyrza V allace. Audrey Thorburn. Nonna Carr; needlewoman’s, Beryl Rarkwith ; embroiderer's, Inez Lyall. Norma Packer; friend to animals. Norma Packer; thrift, Venice Hemmingsen.
