YORKSHIRE v. MIDDLESEX

A. B. Sellers, the Yorkshire captain, has accepted a challenge from R. W. V. Robins, the Middlesex captain, for a four-days challenge match alter the championship has been decided. He wired Robins: “Challenge accepted; £lO a man; choose your ground.” He says that the Oval is probably the best ground. 'Jhe match will probably begin on September 11. Middlesex and Yorkshire 'are at present running neck and neck in an exciting race lor tno championship. Robins explained that lie had issued the challenge because Middlesex had played fewer matches than the Yorkshire team, which Middlesex was lucky to beat at Lord’s, as it was favoured by the weather. ;
