ARCTIC AIR ROUTE.
AMERICA TO JAPAN. OTTAWA, Aug. 19.; It is reported that Trans-Canada Airlines and Pan-American Airways will shortly discuss the establishment of a trans-Arctic service linking the United States and Canada with China and Japan. The proposed route will be from Edmonton to Fairbanks, then to and China and on to Australia and New Zealand.
It is claimed that the service across the Arctic will eliminate trans-ocean hops exceeding 200 miles.
