MINIATURE RIFLES.
PALMERSTON NORTH CLUB. At iiic weekly shoot of the Palmerston North (Linton) Miniature Ritle Club a trophy competition for a prize donated by Mr H. Barlow was decided, J. Cowie and 11. Patcliett each scoring 69, Patcliett being declared the winner on count-back. A consolation shoot-off by K. Rush, V. Goldfinch, 11. Hayter, and K.’ H. Shea, who tied with 69’s for second place in last week’s trophy shoot, was won by i . Goldfinch alter a second tie in which Bust was eliminated. A trophy for this shoot-off was also presented by Mr Barlow. The following are scores (75 per cent, or better) recorded during the shoot;-—H. G. Byers, 68—66—134; H. Exton, 67—66 —133; G.
