TECHNICAL SCHOOL.
OLD STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION. The annual reunion, .dinner and social of the Palmerston North Technical School Old Students’ Association was held in Messrs Collinson and Cunninghame’s tea-rooms last evening. There was a large attendance. The function opened with the National Anthem,-‘and Grace, which was pronounced by,|the principal (Mr G. G. Hancox). 1 A roll-call, which took the form of a ■welcome, was made by Air Hancox, the length of each pupil’s sojourn at the school being mentioned. Several apologies for absence were received. The following toast list was honoured : "The School,” Mr L. Barsanti " —Air AI. Dalefield; "Board of Governors,” Mr A. Barsanti —Air Al. H. Oram; "The Staff,” Air D. Mitchell— Atiss J. Young; “The Ladies,” Air T. Bragg - Mrs Hancox; "Absent Friends,” Air A. Costall. ' Posies, tlio artistic work of Mrs B. L. Hubbard, were presented to Alesdames Oram, Barsanti and Hancox by Misses J. Barrie, A. Clarke, and E. Hubbard. The committee for the reunion was as follows: —Alisses A. Clarke (secretary), M. Hancox, A. Trollope, At. Barrie, E. Hubbard, and Alessrs A. Costall (chairman), D. Mitchell, A. Barsanti, 11. Wright and D. Kilgour. Alias J. Waller gave a Highland dance, Air G. Scott accompanying her ;on the bagpipes. Mr A. Sundborn gave an instrumental number,! and .Miss Hancox rendered a pleasing recitation. The second portion of the programme took the form of a community sing, Air L. Smith being at the piano.
