AT ROSEBERY AND ASCOT.

SYDNEY, Aug. 13.

Several prominent spring candidates participated in the Rosebery races to-day. Silver Standard was beaten into second place in the second division of the Flying Handicap by Bulldozer, with Birthday Boy unplaced. El Senorita ran poorly in tho first division of the same event, which was won by Casicasado. Sir Regent won tho Alexandra Handicap Mile by two lengths and a-half from Old Rowley and Verlina, while Latharna finished strongly in fourth place. Odilion and Campaneus were unplaced. Bronze Tulip and Gold Standard were unplaced in the Three and Four-year-old Maiden Handicap, won by Mirth. At tile Ascot races in Melbourne today the Yarborough Handicap was 'won by Silver Bond.
