MANAWATU v. MARTON,

Two teams from the Marten Ladies’ Golf Club visited Hokowhitu links yesterday, one contending for the Mina Seifert Cup, but both were defeated at the hands of Manawatu players. Results were:

Innes, of Palmerston North) did a round equal, to 78. She made few mistakes on the outward half though she slipped strokes at the third and fifth holes. S f hc recorded birdies at the sixth and ninth and she reached the turn in 3G. She was back in 42, her card reading: Out: 44536403 2—36; in, 4 5 4 6 4 4 5 5 5 —42; total, 78.
