INJURY AT SEA.
LASCAR NOW IN HOSPITAL. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. Aug. 18. Falling about 15 feet in the engine room of the motor-ship Myrtlebank, a lascar, Assed Meali, a greaser, suffered head injuries while the ship was at sea about three days ago. There was a heavy gale at the time. His injuries were dressed and a wireless call was sent out to have an ambulance ready at Lyttelton, where the vessel arrived at 5 p.m. to-day. The injured man was attended by Dr. C. H. Upham, port health officer, and admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. His condition is not serious.
