'‘Problems of Modern Democracy” was the subject of an address given to members of tlie Feilding branch of the W.E.A. last evening by Mr I’. MartinSmith, tutor-organiser of the W.E.A. for the Manawatu district. There was ,n good attendance, and the president (Mr A. J. Humphreys) was in the chair. Attention is drawn to an important mooting of the Feilding branch of the N.Z. Farmers’ Union, which will be held ■in tho Women’s Division Booms on Friday, at 10.30 a.m. This meeting involves two important subjects, the shearing award and transport charges.
