PERSONAL.

The Gc'-Tiior-General Viscount Galway, attended the luncheon at Wain’s Hotel, Dunedin, yesterday, of the British Public Schools Club of Otago. In the afternoon he turned the first sod at the New Truhy King-Harris Hospital at Anderson’s Bay and in the evening attended the Plunket ball in the Town Hall. He will leave for Wellington by the mail aeroplane this morning, states a Press Associatidn telegram last night. _

Dr W. Hunter Will, of Palmerston North, who lias been on an extended visit to Australia, returned yesterday, accompanied by Mrs Will.

Mr C. Louisson returned to Palmerston North last evening from a visit to Sydney. Mr Louisson was accompanied by Mrs Louisson, who spent the early part of the winter in Brisbane with her son, Mr lan Louisson.

Cable advice from the Minister of Labour (Hon. H. T. Armstrong) that he will be leaving Vancouver by the Aorangi for Auckland on September 1 was received yesterday by the Prime Minister. The Aorangi is due in Auckland on September 20.—Press Association.

The members of the Arbitration Court, His Honour Mr Justice O’Regan and Messrs IV. Cecil Prime (employers’ representative) ■ and A. L._ Monteith employees’ representative) leave Palmerston North by the Limited express to-night for Auckland, where the usual scheduled sittings of the Court will be entered upon.

Dr IV. Fea, of Timaru, who was the guest of Mr H. N. Watson, Te Awe Awe Street, for the past two days, left for Wellington this morning, where he is to attend a conference convened by the Government to discuss tho setting up of a special department to control and organise sport. Dr Fea, it will be remembered, captained the 1921 AH Blacks and besides being an authority on Rugby, is the holder of the New Zealand squash rackets championship. He attended the Test match in Wellington on Saturday and saw the Manawatu-Southland game yesterday. During his short stay in Palmerston North he was a frequent visitor to the local squash rackets courts.
