RAUMAI CLUB. A return match was played by the Raumai Golf Club with Woodville Club on the home links over tho week-end in perfect weather, the visitors winning; the singles by six games to four and losing the four-ball by three games to two. The following are the results, the home team being mentioned first: Singles.—J. MacDonald lost to Paterson, H. Fitzhcrbert boat Wilson, C. Spelman beat Peebles, T. O’Rourke beat Norman, G. Groves lost to Gavin, A. MacDonald lost to Stitt, R. MacDonald lost to Hawkes, R. Bradley lost to Robertson, B. Clapham lost to Harris, I. Neill halved with Bacchus, J. McDonell beat Morgan. Four-ball.—MacDonald and Fitzherbert beat Paterson and Wilson, Spelman and O’Rourke beat Peebles and Norman, Groves and A MacDonald lost to Gavin and Stitt, R. MacDonald and Bradley lost to Hawkes and Robertson, Clapham and Neill beat Bachus and Harris. Several ladies travelled also to Raumai and played the local club ladies, tho results being as follow (home players mentioned first): Singles.—Miss McCool beat Miss Goodwin, Miss MacDonald beat Miss Peebles, Miss P. MacDonald lost to Miss Smith, Mrs Short halved with Miss Kirkpatrick, Mrs R. MacDonald boat Miss Redwood, Mrs Burnett lost to Mrs Wilson. Four-ball.—Misses McCool and MacDonald beat Misses Goodwin ai%! Peebles, Miss P. MacDonald and Mrs Short lost to Misses Smith and Kirkpatrick, Mrs R. MacDonald and Mrs Burnett lost to Miss Redwood and Mrs Wilson. A friendly match was played at tho week-end with the stock firms of Palmerston North, tho result being a draw.
