KITCHEN TEA.

A kitchen tea was tendered Mr and Mrs E. Parker (Miss Marjorie Jeffs), of Patea, and formerly of Rongotea and Glen Oroua, in the Glen Oroua Hall last Wednesday evening. The hostesses were '"Tss Eileen Ladd and Mrs D. Payne, the former wearing _ a beige floral tunic frock and beige coatee, and Kirs Payne red crinkle crepe and a black velvet coat. Kirs Parker had chosen a frock of green georgette with an apricot spray. The time, which passed all too quickly, was spent in dancing, games and competitions, the winners being: Monte Carlo, Mr and Mrs Parker; spot waltz, Mr L. Thompson and Miss E. Ladd; statue waltz, Mrs Barker and Kir W. H. H. Foster; dancing parcel, Miss Thelma Ladd and Mr W r . H H ■ Foster. Supper was served and an enjoyed a piece of wedding cake, alter which Mrs L. Thompson asked the guests of honour to accept a well-laden table of presents from their friends. Kir Parker returned thanks lor tlio beautiful gifts which will adorn their new home. Kir C. Lyons capably-car-ried the duties of M.C. Among those present were: Mr and Mrs Ladd, Mr and Mrs F. Barimbv, Mrs Angus, Mrs Barker Mrs L. Thompson, Mr and Mrs D.. Payne. Mr and Mrs E. Parker, Mr and Mrs Foster, Misses Ladd (3), .Tovce Foster, W. and H. Packer, Messrs L. Thompson, jiinr., C. Lyons, T. Bovey, C. Foster, W. Scott and others.
