WILLARD HOME BOARD.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR STREET DAY.
Mrs E. A. Collins presided over tlie monthly meeting of the Willard Home Board, which was held yesterday afternoon, also present being Mesdnmes E. Birdsall (secretary-treasurer), E. C. Barnett, C. F. Spooner, J. A. McLeavey, F. J. Nathan, A. W. Just, D. Watson, E. B. Jennings, R. A. Tims, D. J. Lovelock, C. Greig, K. McDonald, and Miss M. Cranston. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames T. R. Hodder, R. Port, and W. B. Cameron. Notification of a further donation of £2O from the T. E. Smith Estate, Auckland, vfas received with gratification, also tne cheque for £75 from the Mayor (Mr A. E. Mansford), as the board’s share from the Nuffield Trust. As the Nuffield grant is for medical attention to the children, it was resolved to arange for necessary attention to three of the children immediMrs Spooner reported on a visit which she and Mrs Barnett had paid to the home. Mesdames Watson and Tims will visit the home during the coming month. The matron (Miss E. Anderson) reported that the health of the children had been very good. Four admissions had been made during the month. Vegetables were very scarce and she would be glad of any donations, particularly of carrots nod onions. It was stated that another child would be admitted during the coming Accounts amounting to £l2 3s 6d were passed for payment. Mesdames E. A. Shaw and N. Ratcliffe were elected as new members. Arrangements were discussed for the street day to be held this month, and it was reported that the Mayoress (Mrs A. E. Mansford), Mrs W. S. Woodroofe, and Miss P. Hindle had offered their services as collectors.
