MASS CELEBRATED.
INVITATION TO MADRID.
MADRID, Aug. 16. Mass tv as openly celebrated for the first time since July 19, 1936, on which date all the churches were closed. Admission to the Mass was by invitation only. The general public tt as not informed. . . . father Leocadio, who officiated, is helping the Government to re-establish freedom of thought in Spain, and is recruiting Catholic priests for that purpose.
